First time on my own.

Verael re-birth wasn't a smooth affair. It took weeks of frantic coding by a team of sleep-deprived engineers, consultations with grumpy FMA specialists that cost a small fortune, and enough tinkering to make a veteran mechanic cry. But eventually, they wrestled Verael into a semblance of functionality. Now, the real work began – fine-tuning her for the harsh realities of New Eden's mining game.

The good news: Verael was a machine. No pesky emotions to cloud her judgment, no hangovers courtesy of too much space-booze. Her calculations were laser-sharp, her patience bordering on the inhuman. She could analyze ore yields, time constraints, and risks like a seasoned gambler with a heart of cold steel. This translated to cold, hard ISK – the lifeblood of the capsuleer.

Verael, being an anomaly even amongst AIMs, had a head for business. With her newfound wealth – well, the wealth FMA had painstakingly programmed her to generate – she started investing. Software upgrades, new ships, the whole nine yards.

Every ISK was meticulously tracked, every purchase scrutinized. It wasn't long before she'd built a little mining fleet – a group of barges, scurrying freighters, and trusty scout ships.

This success, however, bred a new hunger. On a dusty Jita outpost, Verael stumbled upon Nixi Nahl – a street-smart trader with stars in her eyes and a hunger for profit that rivaled even the greediest capsuleer. Days were spent swapping stories, nights fueled by cheap synth-caffeine. In return for a cut of the action, Nixi offered to tweak Verael's personality matrix, plug the holes in her trading knowledge.

Verael, for all her processing power, lacked a human's… touch. Mountains of market data couldn't replace a trader's gut feeling. Nixi showed her the secret sauce: filtering the noise from the signal. Laziness, greed, impatience – these weren't just human vices; they were market forces. Verael rewrote her algorithms, factoring in these messy human elements. And for the first time, she started making real money from trade.

It began with the familiar – ores, minerals, the lifeblood of any mining operation. Soon, she was diving into production plans, schematics, even the murky waters of the second-hand ship market. Within weeks, her wealth ballooned. Mining profits coupled with a shrewd trader's edge – it was a potent cocktail. Back at FMA, they took notice. Verael, the once-troubled AIM, was promoted. Assigned a team of pilots, a new frontier awaited – the Hogimo system.

But success, as they say in the dark corners of New Eden bars, has a way of breeding trouble. Verael, the ghost in the machine, was about to face a whole new set of challenges. The question remained: could this anomaly, this machine with a nose for profit, navigate the treacherous waters ahead? Only time, and the ever-shifting winds of the galactic market, would tell.
