Problems and development.
As months turned into a blur of neon nights and electrified corridors of the space stations, Verael steadily consolidated her position. The pulse of her growing mining fleet thrummed through the endless expanse of space, nestled within the ranks of the Free Mining Alliance. Obstacles were constant – not the rabid assaults of pirates or the sporadic supply shortages, but the grind of logistics.
Back then, the corporation lacked heavy freighters, and every transport operation relied on smaller vessels. This was not only a logistical nightmare but a colossal waste of time – time that Verael, in her precise calculations, could allocate far more efficiently. The solution was evident. She needed more substantial transportation capabilities.
Investing in the required software to integrate with her system, V procured her own Charon. The colossal freighter, christened Velocity, was thrust into action immediately. Leaving such an expensive asset idle was not an option. This, however, brought a new wave of challenges. Certain transport routes were infested with pirates, local thugs, and Guristas alike.
For the first time, Verael had to channel resources into heavy combat vessels to cut through these treacherous lanes or scout jump point blockades. The Gallente Federation's Megathron, a formidable battleship, was the answer.
Specifically tailored to breach resistance and blockades, the Megathron proved to be an extraordinarily effective asset. Its utility extended beyond brute force – from security missions to escort duties, and acting as a deterrent. Sometimes, its overwhelming firepower felt like using a sledgehammer to swat a fly... but in the dark alleys of interstellar trade, better safe than sorry.
